About this notice
Adra Academy (أدرى) provides course hosting, learning and instructor tools. This notice explains how information is handled when you use Adra. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@adra.ly.
Account and learning information
We store account details such as your name, email address, phone number if provided, account identifier, language, role and agreement acceptance. We also record enrollments, lesson completion and playback positions, quiz attempts, certificates, questions, answers, ratings and support or instructor-service requests. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than readable passwords.
Google sign-in
When you choose Google sign-in, Adra uses your Google account identifier, name, email address and email-verification status to create, link or sign in to your Adra account. The requested permissions are identity, profile and email; they do not give Adra access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts. Removing the Google connection does not by itself delete your Adra account. Contact us if you also want to request account deletion.
Payments and receipts
For course purchases, wallet requests and refunds, Adra records the relevant amount, currency, method, order or transfer reference, status and any receipt or proof you submit. Online payment details are sent to the payment provider to process your chosen method. Authorized staff use payment records to verify access and handle support, refunds and accounting. Never upload banking passwords, PINs or one-time codes as receipt attachments or support messages.
Why we use information
We use this information to provide accounts and course access, save learning progress, deliver lessons, assess quizzes, issue certificates, respond to requests and send service emails. We also use technical and security records to investigate failures, prevent unauthorized account or course sharing and operate the platform. Technical records may include IP addresses, browser information, timestamps and security events.
What instructors and other students can see
Authorized instructors can access student and learning information needed to manage their own courses. Questions and answers you post inside a course, along with your displayed name, can be seen by other enrolled students. Do not include private contact or banking information in course discussions. Certificate verification details, such as your name and course, can be viewed by someone who has the certificate verification code or link.
Students under 18 and guardians
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must review the course agreement and this notice with you and approve your account and enrollment. Signup agreement acceptance is a declaration; it is not an independent check of age or parental identity. A parent or guardian can contact info@adra.ly about a child’s account, privacy or permission. We verify the relationship and account ownership before disclosing information or acting on a request. Do not send identity documents, passwords or bank codes in an initial email. Course discussions can be read by other enrolled students; avoid posting a child’s private contact details there.
Video watermark
During lessons, Adra displays the signed-in viewer’s email address or phone number, together with a session reference, as a moving watermark to deter unauthorized sharing. A legacy account identifier is used if no contact detail is available. This information can appear in a screenshot or recording of your player. Do not share your account or recordings of protected lessons.
Cookies and preferences
Adra uses browser cookies and storage for sign-in sessions, request security, language and display preferences. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in or course access. Embedded video, Google sign-in and payment services may also process information under their own privacy notices.
Service providers and storage
Hosting, video delivery, email and payment providers process information needed to operate their services. Current integrations include Google sign-in, Bunny Stream, Zoho/ZeptoMail and Ezone Pay when online payment is enabled. Information may be processed outside Libya depending on the provider. Adra uses HTTPS, access controls, protected media links and encrypted recovery backups; access to operational records is restricted.
Your choices and service messages
You can choose password sign-in instead of Google sign-in. You can review your Google connections through your Google Account; removing a connection does not delete records already held by Adra. Adra sends account, enrollment, payment, security and other service messages needed to operate your account. Instructors can manage their enrollment-email preference in their instructor settings. Contact info@adra.ly if you need help with communication preferences.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our handling of information changes and show the revision date here. If a change introduces a new use of Google account information, we will explain that use and obtain any required permission before using the information for the new purpose.
Retention and privacy requests
Contact info@adra.ly to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We need to verify ownership before acting on a request; do not send a password or banking code. We review what can be deleted and what must be retained for ongoing services, payments, refunds, disputes, security or applicable record-keeping obligations. Deleting active account information does not automatically remove every protected backup copy. Course access periods are separate from data-retention periods.
